Crypto deposits for PSPs and banks: how Luxon Pay integrates Lyzi

Luxon Pay and Lyzi have announced a technical partnership: through the integration of Lyzi, Luxon Pay customers can now fund their account in cryptocurrency, credited once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain. Luxon Pay did not have to build or maintain the crypto infrastructure: Lyzi handles it behind the scenes. This is exactly the model Lyzi offers to every PSP and bank looking to open crypto to its customers.

Who is Luxon Pay?

Luxon Pay is a global payments partner providing flexible payment solutions for individuals and businesses. Its multi-currency eWallet lets customers hold, exchange and transfer money. Its merchant solutions help businesses accept payments, manage multiple currencies and settle funds through international and local payment channels.

How does a crypto deposit work for the user?

The journey takes four steps:

  • from their Luxon Pay account, the customer selects “Add money”;
  • they choose cryptocurrency as their funding method;
  • they send funds to a dedicated wallet address;
  • once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, the deposit appears in their account.

For the user, it is a top-up like any other. The crypto side of the flow is handled by Lyzi’s infrastructure.

Nick Shaw, Head of Payments at Luxon Pay, puts it this way: “Lyzi makes paying with cryptocurrency so straightforward. Customers can connect their wallets or send funds quickly and get on with the payment, the kind of simplicity and speed we value at Luxon.”

Why a PSP does not build its own crypto infrastructure

Offering crypto deposits means connecting your offering to exchanges, hundreds of wallets and several blockchains, then maintaining all of it over time. For a payment service provider, that is a heavy layer outside its core business.

Luxon Pay made a different choice: add a fast funding method for its users without building that layer in house. That is the whole point of a crypto payment infrastructure for PSPs and banks: crypto acceptance becomes one more service in an existing offering, plugged in through a single integration.

What Lyzi’s connector brings to PSPs and banks

Lyzi is a regulated B2B crypto payment infrastructure, registered as a payment agent with the ACPR (REGAFI no. 26900). For a PSP or a bank, it acts as a unified connector:

  • One integration: access to regulated exchanges (Binance, Crypto.com, Coinbase, OKX, KuCoin, Gate.io, Bybit, Bitpanda) and to 500+ wallets.
  • Crypto and stablecoins: 300+ cryptocurrencies across 10 blockchains, plus the EURC, USDC, EURCV and EURE stablecoins.
  • White label: the partner keeps the customer relationship and its own product experience.
  • Three channels: in store through the existing terminals and checkouts of physical retailers, online through plugins for ecommerce websites, or through a direct API.

The Luxon Pay case illustrates the API channel: the partner keeps its own journey, while Lyzi processes the crypto flow behind it.

What the partnership changes for Lyzi

The partnership works both ways. Luxon Pay users top up their account in crypto, and Lyzi extends its coverage to every merchant and user Luxon Pay already serves, from large accounts to local merchants.

“Our partnership with Luxon Pay is built for the long term. Luxon Pay users can now top up their account in crypto, and Lyzi extends its coverage to every merchant and user Luxon Pay already serves. Crypto and stablecoin acceptance is no longer a niche topic. It is becoming a standard for every merchant, PSP and bank,” said Damien Patureaux, CEO of Lyzi.

Frequently asked questions

Do Luxon Pay users need to switch apps?
No. Crypto deposits are made directly from their Luxon Pay account, through the “Add money” option.

When is the deposit credited?
As soon as the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, the amount appears in the customer’s account.

Can another PSP or bank replicate this model?
Yes. That is the principle behind Lyzi’s crypto and stablecoin connector: a single white label integration, with no infrastructure to build or maintain.
