Fitness Park accepts crypto payments: a first for a fitness chain in France

Fitness Park, one of the most popular fitness brands in France, is taking a major step toward innovation by becoming the first gym network in the country to accept cryptocurrency payments.

This initiative is made possible through a partnership with Lyzi, a crypto and stablecoin payment infrastructure that allows merchants to accept digital assets easily both in-store and online.

The first location to launch this new payment option is the Fitness Park club in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris.

Pay your Fitness Park membership with crypto

Members can now pay for several services using cryptocurrencies, including:

  • gym memberships
  • purchases at the reception desk
  • snacks and products available at the club

Payments can be made with major cryptocurrencies such as:

  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • stablecoins
  • and other supported digital assets.

How crypto payments work at Fitness Park

The payment process is simple and fast:

1️⃣ The customer scans a QR code at the reception desk
2️⃣ The transaction is confirmed directly in the customer's crypto wallet
3️⃣ The payment is validated instantly

Thanks to Lyzi’s payment infrastructure, transactions can be converted instantly into euros, protecting the merchant from cryptocurrency volatility.

Crypto adoption is growing rapidly in France

According to a study conducted by ADAN and KPMG, more than 6.5 million people in France own cryptocurrencies.

This payment option therefore responds to the expectations of a young, digitally native generation that is increasingly comfortable with Web3 technologies.

Thomas Mendonça, CEO of Fitness Park, explains:

“This partnership with Lyzi is part of our innovation strategy to meet the expectations of a generation that embraces digital solutions. If this exploratory phase is successful, we may extend it to all of our clubs in France.”

A pilot before a potential large-scale rollout

The Boulogne-Billancourt club serves as a pilot location for this initiative.

With more than 320 clubs in France and internationally, Fitness Park could eventually extend crypto payments to a much larger portion of its network.

For Lyzi, this partnership demonstrates how crypto payment technology can be integrated into everyday businesses, including retail, hospitality, transportation, and now fitness.

Toward wider adoption of crypto payments

Cryptocurrency payments are gradually expanding across many industries such as retail, hospitality, luxury, and entertainment.

With this initiative, Fitness Park joins the growing list of businesses embracing digital asset payments for everyday transactions.

Boulogne-Billancourt is just the beginning.
