On PaymentIQ, crypto plugs in at the level of the providers connected to the orchestrator, then shows up in the checkout like any other payment method. With a provider already integrated, such as Lyzi, the operator has nothing to build: it switches crypto on and manages it in the same place as its other payment methods.
PaymentIQ brings checkout and orchestrator together in one platform. The operator integrates once, and providers are added behind it.
A crypto API next to PaymentIQ. Quick at first, but crypto then lives outside routing, reporting and central oversight: a second journey to maintain.
A layer built in house. Blockchain connectivity, address management, confirmation tracking, conversion, compliance: a product in its own right, far from an operator's core business. We cover this trade-off in our article on white label crypto for PSPs.
A crypto provider already connected to PaymentIQ. Crypto becomes one payment method among others, routed and monitored like the rest. This option keeps the value of orchestration, and it is the one Lyzi makes possible: Lyzi is already integrated into PaymentIQ.
On that last point, an operator defending a gaming licence cannot add a weak link. See the checks to run on a crypto PSP for iGaming.
Outside PaymentIQ, Lyzi also connects through your payment provider or bank, or through a direct API. Luxon Pay, a global payments provider, integrated Lyzi directly, outside PaymentIQ, for crypto account top-ups. Online through PaymentIQ or directly, on site through payment terminals: one infrastructure covers land-based and online.
Should crypto go through the orchestrator?
It is the most consistent option: it benefits from the same routing, reporting and oversight as every other payment method.
How long does it take to add crypto on PaymentIQ?
With Lyzi, already integrated, it is an activation, not a development project.
Is the operator exposed to volatility?
Not unless it wants to be: settlement can be made in euros or in stablecoins.
